Make-up Tutorial

So todays post is a sort of tutorial! I use a mixture of high end and high street products and will give you my honest opinion on them! I hope you enjoy this make-up look and try it yourself!

The brushes I use for this look:

Barry M - Blush brush (£3.99)
Real Techni
ques Stippling brush (£11.99)
Real Techniques Expert face brush (£9.99)
Wilko Powder Brush (£2) An amazing dupe instead of real techniques!

The first thing I did was apply a thin layer of 'That Gal' - Benefit which is a brightening face primer! (£22.50) Then once that had dried I used a pea sized amount of the 'Porefessional' face primer - Benefit (£24.50). I know that I've just used two primers but I do this because it hydrates my face so much and makes my makeup stay on so much longer!
I highly reccomend buying the 'Porefessional'. It is my favourite product! A little goes along way and its definitely worth the money!

Then I apply a small amount of 'Erase Paste' - Benefit (£20.50) under my eyes. I use shade No.1 Fair. Then I apply a coat of my MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation in SPF 15, shade NC15 using the Real Techniques expert face brush. (£21.50)

I then apply collection lasting perfection concealer to any visible spots and under my eyes for that extra coverage!! This is a very cheap concealer at £4.19 but it is amazing! I use shade Fair 1. I then set all of this with the Maybelline New York Matte Maker powder in 10 Classic Ivory (£3.99) using a powder brush.

I next use my stippling brush to apply the dark pressed powder from the Sleek Contour kit in Light (£6.49) to my cheeks, jawline, forehead and around my nose. It does take a while to blend at first but you will slowly get there!

Moving onto eyes I use the Soap and Glory Super Cat liquid liner pen for my eyeliner (£6.00). I then use the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara (£7.99), then adding a coat of MAC False Lashes Extreme Black (£19.00).

Moving onto my eyebrows I like to use Benefit Browzings kit in Light (£24.50). I use the light powder and not the waxy side. I then keep them in place by using L'oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper (£5.99) whic
h is a clear brow mascara and it is a makeup favourite!

For my lips I use a GOSH lip pencil in 001 Nougat Crisp (£4.99) these are quite dry so I advise adding a clear lipgloss on top.

I hope you liked this makeup look! If you want me to do more like this then just leave a comment!

Speak to you soon,

Paige xx

Easy Detoxing??

Hello my lovelies,

Summer is finally here and we are all trying to get fitter and look as good as possible in our summer swimsuits!

I'm not all that bothered about being 'summer ready' or 'bikini ready' because what the hell is that?! Anyone of any shape or size should be allowed to wear what they want when they want and be able to feel confident and comfortable without the un wanted/ un needed pressure that society has created for us!

If you want my advice to feel good for summer you should concentrate on how you feel than how you look! I have recently been looking into detoxing/detox waters.

Not because I want to lose weight (that would be a bonus but it's not my main priority). I noticed in the past few months I have been feeling extremely tired constantly and just frumpy, getting lots of headaches and just feeling like a huge lump. Not exactly the way everyone wants to feel in bikini weather! Am I right?!

I started looking into ways to change my diet, or even add things to my diet that will make me feel a bit more human. I already eat a well balanced diet. I don't eat take aways at all really (mainly because I live in the middle of nowhere so there isn't much choice and I can't eat wheat or gluten so that doesn't give me a lot of choice!!).

Someone said to me I should start drinking green tea because it speeds up the metabolism but I hate hot drinks so I didn't think I could. But then I thought about it a little more. Then I started researching cold brewing tea's and coffee's and tested some out.

My two favourites are extremely tasty and easy peasy!!

The first is a mixture of a cold brewed green tea bag, one sliced lime and a handful of mint leaves. I fill the cup 1/2 way full with tap water and add the tea bag. I place it in the fridge for around twenty minutes to half and hour. Then I add the lime and mint and let it sit in the fridge for another twenty to thirty minutes! You can leave it over night if you wish but I like to drink it fresh! I add ice and some more water, remove the teabag then off I go.

Benefits of green tea, lime and mint:

A natural fat burner,
Full of antioxidants,
Kills bad bacteria,
Both help with IBS symptoms,
Boost metabolism,
Helps with headaches and indigestion,
Reduces fatigue.

After drinking these twice daily for two weeks I can confirm I felt so much more awake and full of energy. They are also so refreshing definitely worth a try! Yummy! A great summer drink!

The second is a mixture of white tea, raspberries and mint. Again I put the tea in half a cup of water and let it sit in the fridge for twenty minutes to half an hour, add the raspberries and add the mint and let that sit for a further twenty minutes. Add ice and then enjoy! I decided to try white tea as it is 10x better than green tea! Which I never would have known! Has a very subtle taste but is lovely. Raspberries are amazing natural fat burners and again are tasty!!

With a few tweaks to my diet, exercising for twenty minutes twice a week I managed to lose five pound this month!! I feel so much more alive and feel like getting fitter will take time but I love how I feel already! I definitely recommend you trying these!

Hope you find this interesting or helpful! Speak to you soon!

#GAYISOK

Yesterday history was made. Same sex marriage is now legal throughout all 50 states of America! This is amazing! There is still so much work to do across the world but this is a huge change in our worlds history.

Lush's #GAYISOK campaign has come around at an amazing time! They are selling a beautiful citrus scented soap in aid of the LGBT community.

This particular soap is not only covered in a gold glittery shimmer layer but is also stamped with #GAYISOK. All profits are donated to grassroots LGBT charities across the world which is such an amazing thing for them to do!

Now is the perfect time to be showing your love and support for the LGBT community, even if you are not part of it, we should celebrate love for all.

The soap is available online for £4! #GAYISOK and here to stay! <3

June Favourites

Hello my lovelies,

I honestly can't believe that it's nearly July! This year is going extremely fast!

This month I have been testing out a few new makeup products, both high street and high end.

So here are some of my June favourites!!

Starting off with my favourite new foundation! As a woman that has suffered with dry skin and severe eczema all my life finding a good foundation has proven difficult!

At last I have found my perfect foundation and I have to say.... I'm in love!

I've never purchased anything from MAC in the past because I was scared of wasting my money. PFFT. Money well spent. (£21.50 well spent to be exact)
I purchase the MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID with SPF 15 in the shade NC15.
It gives such a great amount of coverage, it feels extremely light on my skin and doesn't dry it out! Also it doesn't stain my foundation brush which is another bonus! I highly recommend this product to any of you that are on the fence about MAC Foundation.

If you are like me you probably spend countless hours watching series after series on Netflix. I for one and guilty for binge watching tv shows. This is obviously means less sleep so bigger under eye circles!

Never fear ladies. I have found the solution. I was browsing the Benefit stand in my nearest Debenhams when I came across 'Erase Paste' now at £20.50 for such a tiny pot I was extremely sceptical.

I used a tester and wow. Those big, dark, weighty bags were almost non existent. Now be careful, a little goes a very long way. Just put a tiny amount of your finger and pat it under your eye before concealer its a true miracle!

I have never found eye shadows I love. I own a few of the Naked Palette's from Urban Decay and I really don't get on with them. I was in my nearest Boots store the other day when I came across the Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo eyeshadows (£4.99 each). These are creme eye shadows.

LORD ABOVE MY EYES HAVE NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD.

I'm not a glitter/shimmer fan but these are so beautiful! I bought shades '35 - On and On Bronze' (My favourite) and '65 - Pink Gold'. These are beautiful! Very build-able and I feel like they will be part of my daily make-up routine for months to follow.

The last two are lip products. Being pale I struggle with finding a good lipstick. I find that reds and oranges just make me look even paler.

I stumbled across the Max Factor lipstick in 833 Rosewood (£6.99) this is a beautiful soft, nudey pink. It applies beautifully. Its so moisturising and it just gives my daily makeup a lovely little boost.

The second lip product is Maybelline Color Drama intense velvet lip pencil (£4.99)  in - '210 Keep it classy'.

Now I picked this up to test it because they have a range of beautiful nude colours that were all sold out so I picked this soft pinky colour. I expected it to be hard to apply and dry but it was the opposite. Its soft and creamy and I can't wait to buy more of them!!

That's all for June's makeup favourites! I hope you found this useful and hope you love these products as much as I do! Keep an eye out for skincare and food favourites soon too!
